Description

Reid Racing Dana 44 / 10 bolt right hand flat-top knuckle.

This is a popular selling knuckle that is cast thicker and stronger than the factory knuckles. It is "Made in the USA" by Reid Racing. If you want to upgrade to cross-over or high-steer on most Dana 44 or Chevy 10 bolt front axles, this is what you need! This is a factory replacement, right side, flat-top knuckle that is milled, drilled, and tapped to 9/16x18 on the flat-top. This knuckle can be used for cross-over steering on '77 to '91 Chevy front axles or full high-steer on '71-'91 Chevy front axles. If you are using this knuckle for cross-over steering and plan to hook your factory tie-rod, please note that the taper direction through the factory cast-in steering arm is "bottom up". All Chevy front axles from 1977 to 1991 were tapered from the bottom up and did not have a flat-top knuckle on the passenger side. As mentioned above, if you are going to run high-steer it will not matter because you will not use the factory arm location.

This knuckle has dual bump stops that may need to be ground down in order to achieve full steering.

This knuckle has 6 spindle studs and will not fit Dodge, Ford, or Scout 44 front axles. Be sure the axle you are installing this knuckle on uses 6 bolt spindles!

Note: 1971 to 1976, all Chevy Dana 44 front axles had "top down" taper, as well as all Jeep Wagoneer front axles.
