About Beau and Trevor and WFO

It all started in the northern California coastal town of Annapolis where brothers and co-owners Beau Huiskens and Trevor Huiskens were born and raised.

Before they could walk, they were pushing Bigfoots and Tonka trucks through the dirt in mom’s garden.

It wasn’t long before Beau figured out how to make mud with the hose. From then on, there was nothing mom could do to keep her children clean.

When the younger brother Caleb was born, she gave up on little girls playing with dolls.

The toys quickly jumped from big wheels, to bicycles, to chainsaws, to dirtbikes, to atv’s, and eventually ended at trucks.

The boys’ backyard was virtually an outdoor playland. They had hundreds of thousand of acres of coastal mountains in their back yard.

These mountains were packed with redwood forests, wildlife, beautiful rivers, and most importantly, a network of logging roads that would take them anywhere.

After moving to Grass Valley to attend high school, Trevor went to Califonia State University at Chico. Brother Beau headed off to Sacramento State University on a Football scholarship.

Trevor focused more on the extra curricular activities that Chico had to offer, while Beau played football and received a Mechanical Engineering degree after five years in Sacramento. It also took Trevor 5 years to receive his BS in Manufacturing Technology.

After a great Graduation party, (8 kegs and a pig), Trevor moved down to the San Franciso Bay area, where he took a job at a rapid prototyping, aluminum foundry.

After 2 years of being the plant manager and production manager, the company decided to regroup and move to the central valley. For the previous year, Trevor had been running an after hours 4x4 shop out of his building.

4x4 projects seemed to be a little more fun than dealing with disgruntled employees and unhappy engineers.

It was at this time that Trevor decided to open WFO Concepts.

Just about the time Trevor packed up his tools and headed to Auburn to start his business, brother Beau graduated from Sac State.

The fun work and 5 minute commute was too much for Beau to resist.

The two brothers rented a building and got to work.

WFO Concepts was founded in June of 2003.
